About OPAC Bahamas
We are OPAC Bahamas, the construction and operations arm of RAV Bahamas. We build a luxury waterfront portfolio in Bimini, Bahamas, 50 miles from Miami: residential communities at Rockwell Island and Illa Banyan, signature residences, and the Bimini Bay Marina.
Nearly everything we use is bought in Miami and arrives on the island by container. When materials can't be found, are miscounted or sit in the wrong place, work stops and money is wasted. We need someone who takes ownership of our inventory and keeps it in order.
The Role
You organize and run inventory for our materials, tools and equipment on Bimini. You know what we have, where it is, and what is running low. Our site teams and our Miami purchasing team will rely on your numbers.
What You Will Do
- Organize our yards, storage areas and containers so every item has a labeled place and can be found fast.
- Do a full starting count, then keep counts accurate with regular cycle counts.
- Receive each incoming container: check it against the packing list, report shortages and damage, and put everything away.
- Track what goes out to each project and crew, so every item is accounted for.
- Keep the inventory system up to date every day. You enter receipts, transfers and usage, and you correct the counts.
- Flag low stock early so Miami can reorder before we run out.
- Keep tools and equipment checked out and returned, and report anything lost or broken.
- Keep storage areas clean, safe and protected from weather.
Who We Are Looking For
- 1+ year of experience in inventory, warehouse, stockroom or materials handling. Construction supply experience is a plus.
- Very organized and detail oriented. You notice when something is off by one.
- Comfortable with a computer, a phone and spreadsheets. You will use our inventory software every day.
- Able to do physical work outdoors, including lifting, moving materials and working in the heat.
- Honest and dependable. You will be responsible for valuable materials.
- Good communication in English. Spanish is a plus.
Bonus points
- You know construction materials such as block, rebar, lumber, plumbing and electrical.
- You have experience receiving containers or shipments.
- Forklift experience.
- You already live in Bimini or know the island.
