This notice explains how we handle the personal information you give us through this website, including job applications and contact messages. We have tried to keep it short and plain.
Who we are
This website is run by Capital Management Corp and its affiliated companies under common ownership, including RAV Bahamas Limited (Bahamas company no. 40750C) and OPAC Bahamas Limited (Bahamas company no. 41837C). Together we are responsible for your information. Our group brands are RAV Bahamas, OPAC Bahamas, Rockwell Island, Bimini Bay Marina and Bimini Blue Adventures.
Our office is at 8040 SW 69th Ave, Miami, FL 33143, and our operations are on Bimini, The Bahamas. For any privacy question, write to info@capitalmanagement.biz.
What we collect
When you apply for a job, we collect:
- your name, email, phone, country and city;
- your LinkedIn URL and message, if you give them;
- your CV file;
- the companies you are interested in;
- the language you used and the time you gave your consent;
- a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to stop spam and abuse. We do not keep the IP address itself.
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email and message, plus the phone number, company and subject you enter, and the same one-way hash of your IP address.
When you email info@capitalmanagement.biz, we store your email and share it with the staff who use our internal portal.
Why we use it
- To evaluate your application for the role you applied to.
- To contact you about your application.
- To consider you for other roles, only if you ask us to keep your profile on file.
- To answer the messages you send us.
- To keep this website and our systems secure and free of spam.
Your consent
We use your information because you agree to it when you tick the consent box on our forms and because you ask us to consider your application or answer your message. Keeping your profile on file for other roles is a separate, optional choice. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. This does not affect what we did with your information before you withdrew it.
Who sees it and where it goes
Only our staff who handle recruitment or messages can see your information. We share it within our affiliated companies for recruitment, so that the company that fits your profile can consider you.
We use these service providers, who handle information on our behalf:
- our application server, in the United States (New York);
- encrypted nightly backups on Amazon Web Services, in the United States;
- transactional email through Resend, in the United States;
- web fonts from Bunny Fonts, in the European Union.
This means your information is transferred to and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection rules from your country. By sending us your information, you agree to this transfer. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
- If we decide not to move forward with your application, we delete it 90 days after that decision.
- Any other application is deleted 12 months after it was last updated, or 24 months if you asked us to keep your profile on file.
- If we hire you, your information moves to our employment records.
- Contact messages are deleted after 12 months.
- Backups roll off after 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. In Mexico these are your derechos ARCO under the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (LFPDPPP). In The Bahamas, you have similar rights under the Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act 2003.
To make a request, email info@capitalmanagement.biz with your name, the email you used with us and what you would like us to do. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within 20 business days.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie that keep the site and its forms working. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Security
CVs are encrypted at rest and every CV download is logged. Backups are encrypted. Only authorized staff can sign in to our internal portal.
Minors
Please apply only if you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page.
