About Bimini Blue Adventures
Bimini Blue Adventures offers water excursions and watersports rentals in Bimini. Our guests come for clear water, good boats, and a crew they can trust. We need an Operations Manager to keep daily operations safe, organized, and running on time.
The Role
You will run day-to-day operations: the fleet, the staff, the schedule, and the guest experience. You will need to make quick decisions on busy days, stay calm when plans change, and keep safety first.
Key Responsibilities
- Run daily operations for all tours, rentals, and excursions
- Manage the fleet of aquatic vehicles (jet skis, boats, and other watercraft), including inspections, maintenance schedules, fueling, and repairs
- Schedule, supervise, and train captains, guides, and dock staff
- Enforce safety procedures, emergency protocols, and Bahamian maritime regulations
- Watch weather and sea conditions and make go or no-go calls
- Coordinate bookings, check-ins, and guest flow to keep departures on time
- Handle guest concerns and resolve problems professionally
- Track inventory, equipment, and supplies, and manage vendor relationships
- Report daily to ownership on operations, incidents, and performance
Requirements
Must have: applications missing any of these will not be considered
- Bahamian citizenship. Proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate) is required before hire.
- At least 1 year of experience in the watersports industry
- Hands-on experience operating and managing aquatic vehicles
- Strong familiarity with Bimini waters, including local channels, reefs, tides, and weather patterns
Also required
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Strong leadership skills and experience supervising a team
- Solid knowledge of water safety and emergency response
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication with guests and staff
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and peak season hours
- Physically able to work outdoors, on docks, and on the water
Preferred
- Captain's license or boat operator certification
- First Aid, CPR, and lifeguard certification
- Basic mechanical knowledge of marine engines
- Previous supervisory or management role in tourism or hospitality
